Mr. Hampton is a member of the California State Bar Association and Merced County Bar Association. Mr. Hampton is a board member for the Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce.
Before moving to Merced, Mr. Hampton was a member of the Consuelo M. Callahan Inn of Court (centered in San Joaquin County) and Wray Ladine Inn of Court (centered in Stanislaus County). These organizations focus on civility and ethics among attorneys. Mr. Hampton served as chair of the San Joaquin County Bar Association’s Civil Litigation section and the Young Lawyers section. Mr. Hampton was a community member of the Stanislaus County Economic Development Action Committee from December 2009 to September 2013. Mr. Hampton is a graduate of Leadership Merced’s class 31.
Mr. Hampton is originally from West Texas, where his father owned a funeral home and his mother taught high school English. Mr. Hampton is married and has four children.
